re: Hi. 33, male in Sydney with 02 Silver ZZR600

Thanks for the welcome posts. It's great to be part of such a friendly club.

Being vertically challenged, I looked at many bikes before deciding on the ZZR600. The Ducati's were nice but too overpriced and I'm not into cruisers or naked bikes (although the latest nakeds are very slick). I think overall the ZZR600 is an excellent bike for the money.

A few months ago I visited my Kawasaki dealer all set to purchase a brand new ZZR (in blue) but as soon as I saw the silver I was hooked. The bike only had 5,200 km and has been well looked after. I spoke to a another Kawaski dealer who said the 05 ZZR might also be silver (I assume like in Canada) but when I called the NSW Kawasaki rep. he couldn't confirm when the new model would arrive and what the colour scheme would be so I decided to buy the 02 silver and I've been very happy with my choice.

Sat on the CBR600 but the ZZR600 just felt better. I like to keep my feet flat down at the lights so the lower seat height on the zzr was most important for me. Besides I like the integrated blinkers, colour scheme and dash layout. Maybe in a few years time the next bike might be a VFR800 (with a lowered seat).
