Did it retain the rake of a nine or did it change the front rake a bit??
Looks like a great idea for a project bike fully adjustable usd forks and radial brakes.
Handling is spot on mate. I was a bit worried to get it back to be honest just incase it was screwed but nope, its perfect
Drops into corners ever so slightly quicker. The only thing which has changed is the offset (distance between steering stem and fork tubes) is heavily reduced (approx 34mm down to 25mm). The brakes are seriously the best thing about it though. My brakes on the 9 were pretty damn crap to be honest, but these things haul it up like nothing else.

haha cheers mate
If you got the cash I say go for it. The front end is cheap really. Think I got the forks and brakes off ebay landed for under $600 AU total shipped from overseas. Much love for ebay!
If you do ever go ahead with it I would be more then happy to provide you the spacer dimensions etc. The biggest hurdle is the top clamp... since the forks are shorter you really need a stepped one to be able to retain standard ride height.
cheers,
