Back On Two Wheels

Fri Mar 17, 2006 8:17 pm

Hi, you might know me from such Nicknames as Mica9R, Blue636, Nobikeatall or the latest KLR.

Have just bought a KLR650 for commuting. My sports riding days are over for now. It has 23ltr tank and is great for commuting. No sore wrists or swollen testicles, I say this from the 636 days.

The attached pic isnt mine however same bike.

Is it for sale yet jibbers :D nah just kidding looks like a nice dirt bike.

If you get sore wrists on a 636 your doing something wrong and i havnt been kicked in the nuts by it in ages  ...see its been mostly in the garage for six months.

Good to see your back and on a bike again. :D

picked it up from Pro Kawasaki. Got a pretty good deal brand new. Yes my ultimate wish was a z750 or z1000 however it was the KLR650 or nothing, due to constraints placed on me by my better half.

So took the KLR650 option, anything to get back on two wheels. And i am chuffed as I just got 390k's from the tank with 3ltr's to spare. And it is happy to run on good ol standard unleaded, and is half the price to insure comprehensively. So for now am seeing common sense and a bike like this doesnt attract unwanted attention from the boys in blue. Also when i twist the wrist I am not automatically on a potential 6 month suspension so it is good that way, it keeps me in check.

And atm its not for sale!!! at the moment anyway hehe.

Will admit the dirt bikes are more sensible around the place and it gives you optionsif you want to go for a blast around the mt mee state forest or something.

Ever been in there hmm nice smelling rain forest lots of dirt tracks think you need a permit for some of it though. :D
