I read on Motomatters that Kawasaki are expected to supply at least engines to BQR who are currently racing in Moto2 for next year when they plan on stepping up into the Motogp.

I wouldn't expect them to be race winners but at least it is something

nice... word is the bmw aprilia and kwak engines are the favoured street engines...

Hope the green gets into good chassis'.

I never agreed with the one make engine rule. I think it should be thrown open to all comers. Even if they use modded production engines. Most 600 engines are a fantastic base for a moto2 engine IMO.

I agree, I reckon the engine rule should be open. But I'd also prefer to see them have the absolute christ tuned out of them but at the same time have to comply with a maximum amount of engines to last the year, say 3 engines (to keep cost down somewwhat), bore/stroke must remain stock but apart from that knock yerself out.

Still no electronics to - just make it a little more interesting as you have to tune the engine to be rideable - not just mask it's problems with expensive gadgetry

The only reason its a 1-make engine series was to suck up Honda's arse. It shits me no end....

Yay! Kawasaki in to MotoGP again! I'll take it whatever little the presence it gets initially.

valentino qualified with a 1 31.62 and this had him in 8th...

guintoli qualified with a 1 31.69 (on a suzuki) and he was in 5th... these are big hp tracks too where a gp machine should have an advantage...im sure with better tyres and a proper prototype chassis, a crt bike should be competitive...

overall at phillip island only two superbikes were slower than the slowest gp machine...they were both kawasakis...

additionally haslam and fabrizio would have qualified 3rd and 4th, behind only stoner and lorenzo...

i know the factories spend big money on their superbikes, but realistically if you copied the yamaha chassis, and ran the R1 engine, you could do a lot worse...

I think when the CRT stuff first came out it was gonna be proddie based 1000 donks vs the 800's as used now... but now they're all going 1000's so you would expect the works outfits to be ahead by some margain (and thats not considering the pace of development).. although ya never know if there'll be some surprises here or there.. like Niall McKenzie getting on the podium in 93 British GP on a ROC-Yammy
