Stalling z1

Postby spunjbaall » Sat Mar 16, 2013 7:25 pm

2010 z1 has recently started cutting out, it seems to do it hot or cold but as far as I can tell it does it on the down change as I'm releasing the clutch. Sure it's not me I've never done it before, it doesn't do it on every gear change. Plus it sometimes cuts out if I rev it in neutral it'll cut out out as it comes back down to idle speed .
Any ideas.

Normally about 1000-1100rpm?

Did you recently change the exhaust or
Air filter or anything?

Sometimes when you change a filter, exhaust or removed an exhaust bung that the idle needs to be adjusted.

The z1000 filter is always a
Saga. They changed at some stage.

Should get the filter tomorrow, change that then have a look at the idle, took a bit more notice today it idles at about 1100 when the chokes on and drops to about 700 ish when it warms up and comes off choke.
