Matt,

Dont know how many bike wreckers there are in hobart but give that a go.

Is the $900 for original kwaka forks or aftermarket?

If they are genuine kwaka forks see if any suspension shops can put onto a aftermarket dealer. Also see ebay, you'll be surprised what u find there.

If no luck do a google search, u never know it could be cheaper to import them.

If you can find some, you should be able to pick up a full set of forks from the wreckers for about $600 to $700. Then get a set of gold valves, new springs and service on them and it should come to under $1000..

Try http://www.findapart.com.au

I think I was quoted about $1500 for a new set of forks for my bike from a wreckers.
Mate when I was after forks for my bike I called the wreckers up here in launceston and they had some forks for a ZX9R, dunno if they still have em, they quoted way less than $1000 if I remember, you could give that a try.
Also was the $900 you got quoted for both fork tubes or just one side? im interested because I need a new one for my 7.
Good luck mate.

i bent one of my forks after an off on turn 8 at eastern creek - poor 98 zx9 - i went and got a set from the wreckers for 700, had racetech overhaul em and stick a gold valve job in for about 300 and a bit, so yeah madkaw's right, it'll be round the 1000 buck mark. :partyman:
