God no, if a slipon was cause for a carb or engine totally grenading itself rather than either making no or a slight difference to the tuning then there would be bits of bike strewn all over the countryside.

i'd say your were just very unlucky.

Never heard of one being faulty so far.

I wonder what is wrong with it?

Were there any symptoms?

Just unlucky mate. My wife had the tank replaced on her ZX10 under warranty because of an imperfection in the paint. Sometimes mistakes happen but luckily Kawasaki are much better to deal with than other brands and will do something about it.

just got a call from Kawasaki and its the (T P S) throttle position sensor, apparently there are 2 in my throttle body and the second 1 failed for some unknown reason, its quite rare apparently, and Kawasaki don't just replace the T P S they replace the whole throttle body,

Ohhhh right, Have you checked to see about availability of just the TPS in case you have the misfortune of the tps going south again sometime in the future post-warranty? I am pretty sure that the TPS is something that would NOT come cheaply. I'm also asking this as it's got my curiosity as well.

kawasaki wont just replace the TPS, the whole throttle body has to be replaced, according to kawasaki this problem is rare, and i was just the unlucky 1,

So I'm back in this forum to discuss my Lemmon of a z750, once again I'm waiting on a replacement throttle body as the secondary throttle motor has shit it's self, there fore I'm getting a new throttle body as they can't just fix the buggered part, kawasaki is paying for it I just need to pay labour as I'm out of warranty, kawasaki service is awesome but I probably won't buy another one if the future due to the trouble iv had

Shouldn't have to replace TB if the TPS is slightly out, If the light is on they generally need adjustment, elongation of the of the security Torx screw holes and reset with ohm meter. Disconnect battery and ECU then reconnect. Did this on a mates Z with no further issues, Got rid of that mid range surge and flatness in doing so as well.
