Air in Brakes

A couple of months ago we completely replaced the brake fluid in the front of the 14, now every week before riding I have to bleed the f####en things!
I've replaced all of the nipples and it still happens, so what I'm thinking is that because the lever was pulled all the way in while bleeding,
that he master cylinder piston is now shagged ????
Thoughts ?

unlikely to have shagged the m/c simply because its been pulled all the way in.

Either use a speed-bleeder (one-way valve) you can get these from Supercheap or ebay for less than $30. These are good.

Better still - soak about 1/2 the brake fluid out of the m/c. Then take off 1 caliper at a time, take the pads out and use a small g-clamp to squeeze the pistons all the way back in. Watch the fluid level in the m/c - it will rise as the pistons get pushed back into the calipers. Do the same thing to the other caliper.

This will push out every single bit of air trapped behind the pistons. Re-fit the pads, fit up the calipers and then top up the m/c. A few easy squeezes of the lever will force the pistons back out and after maybe 1/2 dozen squeezes - the brakes should feel rock-solid. Keep an eye on the fluid level in the m/c as you do this - may need topping up a bit.

I bleed out the air every week and they are "rock solid" all day, they are still rock solid two days after but every seven day's there is air back in the line,
hence the mystery :?

You will just have to come over Gos, that's all there is to it !!

Other trick which helps is tying the brakelever to the bar overnight. I use gaffa tape. Gets the air out.

Mr T is quite good at that I believe and if all else fails, listen to Ben, problem there is of course, Kwaka don't make them anymore and those that have a 9 don't let them go easily (me excepted DOH!

i bleed my brakes backwards from the caliper using a syringe to inject the fluid and push the air upwards because air will always sit at the highest point. Works for me
