Hi Guys,
I was looking at upgrading my stock exhaust on my 2013 model zx10 and was wondering if anyone had any idea's of what system would give the best results for weight loss/horsepower gained out of the systems available?
also if anyone could suggest a business (sydney/wollongong area) to take the bike to for the upgrade, would be appreciated..
Thanks for any response

This was the way I went. Saved heaps of weight. Fitted it myself easy.

Looks awesome, is this a full system?
Does it require a tune once you bypass the cat?
Excuse my lack of knowledge..
Cheers.

No it's just a slip on Austin racing is the make if it. Very nice sound and looks. I asked Rich who is the manufacturer in the uk when I purchased it if there is a need to get it tune and he said not to worry about it. Some say you do any others don't. I havnt had mine done and I've had it fitted for about 8000k now with no problems. Bike runs awesome. Very happy with it.

Looks good.
Pipe looks pretty close to the OEM rear set, melted boots an issue?
Do the boyz in blue give you much grief? No cat & short pipe, looks loud.

No never had any heat issues. It is loud but not stupid loud. I don't ride it around town at all only up in the hills around here so don't see many cops. Having said that it probably could be an issue.

Did you buy it direct from the UK? I noticed a mob here called bikes connect stock them?
And did you just discard the cat and connect it straight into the mid pipe?
Is it as simple a that?

Yes got it direct from Austin racing in the uk. Great to deal with. To fit is simple. Just remove stock can, cat box and servo cables. The new can bolts straight on to the headers and uses the mount bolt for the cat underneath. Saves a heap of weight. This one is the GP3 carbon with ultimate end cap. There is heaps of models available all very nice.

Has anyone else been told that the cat is located in the pipes before the baffle box and not in the box itself?
I spotted a post on another forum saying to de-cat the bike fully you need to disperse the material inside these pipes to get the full benefit?

Why de-cat?
Just remove the boom box and away you go

Its been discussed on here before, 08-10 10R has the CAT at the end of the header pipe, the 11+ has the CAT in the secondary collector.

There's another thread on here about the US link pipes not having the 02 sensor bung, might want to keep that in mind when purchasing.
