i've seen
these guys mentioned on a whole heap of bike, boat and car forums, seemingly with good results. Has anyone used their services or know of another sydney based mob that are worth going to?

Any half decent motor trimmers should be able to do the job, just be really specific with what you want done. by that I mean you say you want it to look like factory, there's no reason they can't do it, if they are any good. Probably have a look in some custom car mags, some of the trimmers that specialise in that stuff are pretty crafty, and might be able to do something a bit special like colours or design if you want it

Hey there Mike.
Don't do anything hasty until you have contacted George from 'Metzi' Moto Skinz.
They do custom seats and seat covers.
The service was great, the quality was EXCEPTIONAL and the seat was actually the highlight of the bike (as far as 'looks' go.)
Metzi had a photo of my custom ER6 seat in the last AMCN (on the accessories page). There is also a pic of it on their website home page and a photo of the whole bike in their gallery. The photos that I have here don't do it justice. The seat was in a combination of different textures. The side panels actually had a carbon fibre look to them, and you can see the detail better if you have a look at the close-up shot on Metzi's home page. It was a hot seat!
Here is the website, and a photo of my seat......
