My First Bling

Postby Bogan » Fri Oct 19, 2007 10:11 am

I finally got around to putting it on the bike last night. The rego tube is a nice addition but the real piece is the plate. This was the second time they attempted to make it, the first time it had no diamond (the dot between the numbers) and no slogan, but the second time they got it right. Unfortunately they don't do the lime green plates any more, something about not enough contrast for the cameras to read the plates (Booooooo!!!) so I went for the blue over the dark green.

If you want a slogan on your ACT bike plate they can do it but the computer system can't cope with it, so be prepared for some patience at the shopfront and make sure they mark the form "Must have slogan" and maybe even have them make a phone call to the place that makes them so they get it right the first time.

We got there in the end and I think it looks spectabulous, best looking part of the bike for the moment...

I think I've got the only ZXR in the territory, it's not the number plate I need to worry about .

Four hungee for the plastic custom number plate, no extra for the slogan except for them stuffing it up.

:D

Is there any annual cost? or is it just a one off payment?

Just one off, all ACT stuff is one off, I considered "BOGAN" for a fleeting moment but $2k was far too much to pay for a number plate.

I love it, awesome. I'd love to have a customised slogan on my plate, it's a shame you can't do that in NSW.
