Bling from Jaycar

Postby 6maniac » Sat Nov 03, 2007 6:17 pm

Bought these from Jaycar Electronics @ $19.95 each. They come in white or blue & are in a string of ten. They can be separated into single units. Could be used as under-body lighting for show bikes (blue) or blinker/tail/stop (white)light replacements maybe.

G'day G1, they are LED's (3 per module). Each module is set in clear epoxy, so they waterproof & immersible!

What size is each unit, and do you have a part number?

G'day Mick - each module is 47mm x 17mm x 6mm. Jaycar Cat. No. ZD-0490 (white)
ZD-0492 (blue). I am chopping one module up to see if it can be used as a single LED. That should be like Viagra to Gos!

Thanks Mate, I can think of 101 uses for those if they work individually...

...and 98 of the uses aren't bling either (but the other three are fully sick mate) 8).

Could you please let me know if the individual module work (can't see why not)...

Thanks again, Mick

G'day Mick, - waste of time cutting the individual modules down. Just buy single LED's. Each 3 LED module can be trimmed with a Stanley knife to fit into a smaller space - I'm working on a set of rear blinkers from AusFR. Will post pics when ready. Cheers , Ron.

These are very popular modules!
19.95 each - or 12.77 wholesale
If you have access to an ABN you can get an account with ELECTUS who are Jaycar wholesale - Minimum order is $50

just dont buy the LED Replacement globes from them - They are very ordinary!
Get alot of returns!
