ZX250R Seat fitting?

Postby NinjaGirl » Wed Mar 31, 2010 10:49 pm

Hi guys

My bike came with the cowl attached, which is great, and I've also got the passenger seat. I've read the instructions but I can't get the passenger seat to fit when I try to swap them over.

I can see where the tab is supposed to slide into the slot, but it just won't go. Is this a common problem or am I not holding my mouth right? Several people have had a go and we still can't get it to click into place.

Any suggestions?

The pillion seat isn't the easiest in the world to get on. Just put the front end in first, keep it square and then try and click it in. There is a nack to it. Hth

On the 07-10's you have to slide the back section on the tab first then push down the front... Not really the easiest of pillion seats to get on... Even worse with a helmet or two on hook... If you have the tab section in right you some times need to add a bit of fource..
Do what you do, and do it well...

oh the 09's are a BITCH!

Numberplate end slips over the little tongue and then clips into place at the front.

Rear end slides in, push down front. So hard to explain though!
Pink on the outside, but still green on the inside!
