will later model zx6r fairings fit a 96' model?

hi guys,
theres probably someone else who has asked the same question, please point me in the right direction if they have.

I have a damaged 96 model with no fairings. (and a bent frame-my next question)

I need to replace the fairings with some new ones. theres no aftermarket ones for the 96 but there are for later madels.
i was sussing one out in the street the other day and the frame mounts etc actually look the same.

has any of you guys put the later model fairings on an earlier model?
i would love to know....

Only the 97 models will fit the 96 model also

I'm pretty sure the 99 fairings will fit but you need all of them.
