will a 96' model zx6r ENGINE fit into a later model FRAME ?

Hi guys,
another question for my kwaka friends,

My frame is bent on my 96 zx6r and its near impossible finding a frame to fit it so I was toying with the idea of wacking my donk into a later model frame.
has any one got any ideas here?
(I'm not worried about the numbers etc matching as it will never be registered).

one advantage to the later model is a detachable subframe, but im wondering if the 96 engine will fit the frame.
the other thing was the swingarm and rear shock will they match up ok? and ho about the steering head?

i was considering using later model fairings as well as theres no aftermarket fairings for the 96 model...

i really dont want to wreck the old girl out as shes only got 42k on the clock...

thanks for any input guys!

if i remember correctly and the rule on bikes is the same as cars, you cant go backwards in age of motors only forwards. Meaning you cant put an older motor into a newer body. Only a newer motor into an older body.
Has to do with emissions laws
ZX-2R '88 -> ZX636 '06 -> ZX-9R '99 -> ZX-10R '04 -> Z1000 '03 -> ZX-10R '04 -> ZX-10R '08
