Leather repairs

Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:21 pm

I need a new zip put into my leathers. Does anybody know of anyone able to do this?

any local dressmaker or leather-wear shop should be able to sew in a zip. Its pretty easy, if you were up here I could do it for you. Normal sewing machines are fine, just get the leather needles.......

I've had my zip replaced at Mars's leathers in town. Mine are a different make and they didn't care cant remember how much though

I've heard very good reports about Mars Leathers' repair services. A mate needed a zipper replaced and some stitching patched up on his jacket, they took out the El-crappo brand zipper the original manufacturer used and put in the nice tough YKK one. They do a quality job there.

I took my leathers to Camberwell earlier this week. Two day turnaround and the cost of a ne fly in the pants $33.00.. Happy.
Cheers
