getting back to the original topic I have had Arai's cause i've got an Arai head, wish i had a shoei head cause they've got good colours at same quality less dollars...I have got one cheap helmet (Nitro) which i used to ride to Uni cause you can't trust the little pricks not to steal your helmet off your bike at UQ.
I won't buy a plastic helmet and considering the amount of money that the Koreans (KBC & HJC) and the Taiwanese have invested in new glass technology there must be some thing in it
Over here in the ME they have to ride with helmets but i wouldn't ride pedal car with the stuff they have usually no straps (gravity is their co-pilot) and wayne gardener rothams stickers
