But they will need to be special orders or at least a limited batch. Which will mean less of them on local grids.
No write offs to buy at auction and race etc.

Also it sends the price sky high when the do limited quantity specials. They are more sort after for racing or collectors

How many production bikes are need for homologation for racing? I think i remember the number being 500 units sold to the public?
If so, Kawasaki must produce this number which would surely mean the majority being converted to race bikes?

500 wouldn't only cover world supersport, british supersport and euro superstock.

There is a bit of speculation but most sites say 2000 per year were produced 2003/04/05&06
http://zx6r.com/zx6r/24871-best-zx6rr-zx6r-3.htmlIt sort of makes sense as the 600 category is struggling in the U.K at the moment, and the torque of the 675 is keeping it above the others. A 636 dedicated for road sport riders and a 600RR for track day junkies would be great and as they have shown before they can exist side by side. I has a quick look on bikesales.com and there are no ZX6RR for sale, they must only increase in value.....
a blast from the past:

I had a 2006 ZX6RR (600cc) race bike in Ireland and it was no more desireable than any other 600. Lots of people buy a bke brand new from dealerships to convert to race bikes, so there was plenty of the RR's on grids in Ireland and the UK.
I cant see kawasaki leaving the Supersport class racing series, I'm sure they would produce both a 600 and 636cc version for both track and road (without huge costs to develop them side by side)
The RR model had some juicy mods over the 636 with a narrower frame engine mounts so that a 636 engine couldnt be fitted and you can differenciate the 2 visually by the steering damper spud welded to the frame on the lhs of the RR.
