ZX7R-P2 spring

Postby mrmina » Mon Jan 03, 2005 11:10 am

At the moment i'm trying to get my suspension back to original manufacturer setting so i can tinker with it to suit my size.

Can anybody tell me the free length of the spring used on the rear shocker for a 1997 ZX7R, (i think its the same length for all models from 1996-2000).

Whips out owners manual.

Not sure if this helps mate.

ZX7R 96-onwards
Standard - Spring free length minus 13mm
Usable range - Spring free length minus 0-20.5mm

So from that, standard setting from the shop is the free length minus 13mm. :D

Thats what i got in my manual too. I rang Kwaka Aus and they dont even have that info cos the shocker comes as a single unit with the spring included.

I should ring up and see if they have the spring by itself for sale, and when the say yes, i'll ask them to measure it.
