Mate, after having a look at the piccies, it's no biggy.
Juststick some good race tape on it and get back out on it.
You can repalace bits when you can afford it later. 8)

Now get out and go for ride. :)

It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.

Heh, well to be honest folks, I haven't thought a great deal about the situation, well immediately anyway.

I swore and carried on alot after I dropped the bike, obvioulsy. But picked it up and when noticed everything was ok, just rode off. To be even more honest, well, I continued to not waste anytime. Meaning I kept riding at a decent pace. Not as fast as I had been goin, but yeah. And shit, did that the whole way home.

The bike mechanically is fine, absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just some mangled plastics. I've gone over it today after work, washed all the dirt shit off and yeah, there isn't anything wrong.

Moreso then anything, I've come to a decision. It is time for some custom work. When I get some new fairings, I'm going to do her up in a way I've been wanting to for some time. Hell, want an excuse to paint your bike? just slide it a few times.

As for how fast I was going, I really don't know. I don't look at the gauges whilst doing that sort of riding. The only thing I do know, was that I was in 3rd gear. Which means anywhere from 80-120. Obviously, I'm hard on the brakes and didn't bother trying to downchange so it'd be under that figure. Hell, I nearly saved it, just barely, but still lost.

Anyway, thanks very much for the kind words and support people. Muchly appreciated.

Bugger.. Sorry to hear mate.
It doesn't look as bad in the photo's as I would have expected though.
Good luck getting it fixed up.

kempy I thought it was far worse than that just get some 6 or 8inch wide race tape and a indicator lens, you can probably get the tape in red as well.

From the early descripitions I thought the nose cone had gone but obviously these kwakas are made of tuffer stuff.

Glad you are still ok. :D :D

Yeah, I've patched her up with Duct tape. It'll stay that way until December when I can start fixing her up again.
