Good 05 636 site

Postby Aussie Ninja » Sun Nov 28, 2004 8:02 am

I just came across this. Lots of pretty pictures. Something I noticed while having a read was the final drive is 15/43 on a bike reputed to have 130 hp. OOOhhhh Baby.....

God new_shocked.gif 130 hp thats a bit for a 636 but the 10's are ment to have 184 hp & you see ppl that have had them on the dyno & only get around 145-155 standard

Yeah, it'll only be something like 115 at the rear. Although thats the same as a current model with an exhaust and power commander. I'm hanging out to read the first ride tests to see what the new wheels have done for it. I'm a big believer in minimal rotating mass.

I won't buy one new but I'll be ready in a couple of years and by that time there will be plenty of aftermarket tail pieces available that get rid of the ugly standard one. I'm thinking a twin pipe outlet like Formula One do for the cbr600rr. :P

This could just be rumor but im much more interested in the 06 model ZX7R!!!!!
Thats right, from a guy who rides a 7 and has a mate who owns a Kawasaki dealership, Kawasaki have hinted at about 6 or so new models for 06, among them is rumored to be a new ZX7R, im saving for a deposit.

I'd like to see the ZX7R back as much as anyone but i dont see why they would it was designed to race Worldsupers when in-line fours were limited to 750cc now that they are allowed 1000cc i cant see the rational for it. But as i said i d love to be proved wrong on this one.

I think the Z750 was the best seller, though I would have the thou.

Dont be too worried about the extra few hp you have to be good enough to use it first. :D

Its also good to see its a 2 piece lower fairing that will make services a little easier no need to drag a whole fairing under the bike.

130hp??
wot drugs they smoking??
i cant see how 36cc would give ya an extra 20hp...didnt the R6 win "top hp
600cc" last yr with like 110??
my 929 only putting out 140 ....tho thats measured at the wheel, is that
where this 130hp on a zx6r is claimed?
