Crim wont rev

So first time out on the new crim to QR and under load it won't rev past 8.5k
It seemed ok for the first lap or so but then it just wouldn't pull past 8.5 grand. There was no real popping or banging like it was lean it was just really flat. Getting off the throttle back below 8.5 and it seemed to run fine.
In the three sessions I got in before throwing it down the road (another story) I tried a different map on the pc3, checked the fuel lines and breathers for kinks, checked all the electrical connections under the tank and eventually removed the over all with no improvement. It will rev fine in neutral on the stand or with the clutch pulled when coasting.
The bike is not registered so any fault finding will be on a dyno, so I'm looking for ideas to check before forking out cash.
Im going to have a bit of time up my sleeve to check things while my ankles recover :-(

Check the fuel filter on the base of the pump is clean and make sure the pump is delivering the right amount of fuel when it does its prime.

Start with fuel pump as mentioned.
It's a common fault.

Silly question, but is the FI light on?

I agree.. check the fuel pump filter...

We have this issue happening all the time with our hire bikes at PI.. we are always replacing the fuel filters in the pump. For those wo dont know, they look like a tea bag, but they are supposed to be white.. but they end up being black and full of grit and crap from the dirty fuel that we are paying for...!!! :x

But it is doing it's job in keeping this stuff from getting inside your engine...

Pull the pump out, dissassemble it a bit, find the filter and you will see what we all mean.. replace it and the Crim will be better than before ;-)

Going to check the fuel pump delivery today. Can anyone enlighten me me as to how much fuel it should deliver when priming?

Also I've done a thread on how to replace the pump with an aftermarket one, I just can't get the link with tapatalk. Do a search and you should be able to find it, it has some pictures of the pump so you can at least get an idea of what you're dealing with.
