Fuel and ZZR600's (again)

I've had the ZZR600 for a few months now and I've been trying a heap of different fuel. I've tried just about all of the different brands and both Premium and Standard Unleaded...
I can't say I've noticed any performance difference between the two (my bike is still stock). The manual says to run "Unleaded" and the dealer told me to put Premium (except Optimax ) in it... Of course, every time I pull up at the pump and notice the price difference between the two, it's pretty hard to reach for that Premium nozzle (given that I can't tell the difference performance wise).
However, I was just looking over the numbers this morning (I've been keeping track of my fuel fills) and was surprised to discover that despite being up to 10c/L dearer, it's actually cheaper ($/km) for me to run Premium - by up to 0.5 c/km. Now that doesn't sound very much , but if I do 600 km's in a week, that's $3...
So now I don't feel so bad about paying that extra $2 odd for my tank of fuel!
Cheers,
Russell.
