Bought a ZZR600

Recently bought a 2004 ZZR600. Great condition except that the rear brake seem to grab/let go continuously. It is worse at low speeds. The disk doesn't appear to be warped and the guy I bought it from said that it had been skimmed recently. The brake pedal does not "pulse" as I would expect to happen if the disk was warped. Anyone got any idea of what might be causing this?

Doesn't seem likely but check for tension spots in the chain and chain alignment. Maybe try putting the rear up on a stand and rotating by hand as well. When My chain has been bad I can feel the resistance as I rotate the wheel, but I never felt it whilst riding.

Well done on the 600!

Not sure about the brake problem but I'd be popping it up on a stand as well. Only one way to see whats going on down there.......

Posting pics of it soon?

The chain would be the first place to look as has been said...... Might need to overhaul the rear caliper if its not the chain.... rear brakes cop a hammering by nubes
Oh & congrats on the new ride :kuda:
