Oil Leaking - But strangely....

Hi All!!
I took my bike for a run down to the servo last night, for some refuelling and celebratory Snickers for getting my temp gauge working again,
The bike was running like a dream,
But once I got home and turned off the bike, there was a fair amount of oil dripping from the back of my transmition, not a huge amount, but enough for me to be worried,
The dripping stopped after a couple of minutes, and there is still plenty of oil in her, the glass shows it being full,
I've been told its just oil coming out of my breather, as my breather is blocked, and/or I have overfilled my bike with oil,
Does this sound rite, and is this a normal problem??!!
Thanks!!
Ry

Should have a bubble above the oil level in the sight glass at least, there should be a high and low mark somewhere around the glass. I check mine with the bike level and warmed up.

Too much oil isnt good and may be your issue.

See if you can find the exit point for the oil leak.

Biggest concern is oil getting over the tyre mate.

Thank Jonno!
That was my biggest worry, loosing traction while riding due to loosing oil!!
I dont have a bubble showing on my glass, so I am guessing she'll be overfilled!
I might drain the oil and start again!

Have you just changed the oil? If so just pop the drain plug and let a bit out, you'll get oily hands but that's cool. You want the oil level to be in between the upper and lower levels, probably somewhere between halfway and full.

Let us know how you go.

Yep use the sight glass like a dip stick. In the middle of the high and low marker. If you can't see anything she is to full, drain some before riding as a priority

You might want to make sure the bike is standing straight upright and not on the side stand to get the levels correct. ;)

Thanks Gents,
I've had the bike on the centre stand to do the work to it, so I'll let a bit of oil out, and see if I cant get it looking OK!
I'm back home on Saturday, so she'll have to wait until then,
Thanks again for the advice!!
