Holy crap, you don't muck around do you Dave. They look good, nice and shinny. Just out of curiosity, what type of black would you have them powder coated in if it was a concourse resto?

If it was concourse Kev...probably satin black spray paint.
There is also a satin black powder coat available...as well as many different colors to choose from.

The gloss is easier to maintain, and in my opinion looks great. :D

Question for those in the know. :?

Are carb pods a pain in the arse to set up right on triples....as I know 4 strokes can be ?

Good question Garry.......I don't think there's any variation in the color black....or if blacks a color at all?. :?

looks great so far Dave :kuda: your local blaster/powdercoater must love your business ....

Lots of different blacks - ask any bike painter. My local powdercoater does a great semi-gloss black, but there are a few options available.

Carbies - pretty easy on the 2T bikes mate. Easier if you use full foam K&N filters. Tapered pod filters are OK and easy enough to set up. Overall they just need to jetted richer, especially when using chambers. The most important thing with these triples and the carbs is balance - they must be balanced properly.

Stu - I don't have a factory manual for the S1 250, just a Clymer.

Now that I'm incapacitated ...... after accidentally kicking the hydraulic floor jack........dislocating my second toe from the big one, and bending it at a right angle.

Had it sorted after spending 5 hours at the hospital having x-rays...and a local anesthetic ,"which hurt like buggery" BTW ..then had it pulled straight.

Anyway not walking real well ATM...but did manage to refurb the gauge pods.

I wasn't wearing my Japanese riding boots Gary... :D ..and it happened at a panel shop I was working at.

Plastics come a treat using any old spray on furniture polish.

The gauge center on this was easy...painted it with PJ1,then baked in the oven.
Because the lettering is raised...I just ran a small nail file over the top, then clear a coat to finish. :kuda:
