hmmmm
interesting... the Zx750 engine used in the Gpx750
was the first of a new generation of WATERCOOLED engines
introduced by Kawasaki
everything previous mainly had been air and/or oil cooled...
and maybe I am wrong...
but I had thought all 6r 7r(ZxR750) and 9r engines since then
were based around this then new engine design...
(obviuosly with different capacities carbies etc)
but in other words they use the same basic architecture....
these engines do
differ from the 1100 and larger engines used in the ZZr's
As i understand it...
yes you are correct about your 750 being a sleeved down Z1000 engine
which is a bored out ZX9 engine...
which happens to be a bored out ZXR750 engine
....which is based on the ZX750 engine....
which is why i am interested..................
(note the latest ZX7r used the same engine design but a shorter stroke bigger bore engine)
now I might be wrong with all that
anyone game to tackle the Kawasaki family engine history....
might ring my local dealer tomorrow and check.....
