Thanks to a discussion Phil had over the Supers weekend with Steve Mudford of Race Dynamics I found myself the proud owner of a pristine set of Ohlins rear shocks for the ZRX for a really nice price (a guy had bought the wrong shocks for his Triumph
)
Anyway they turned up a week or so ago but I haven't had a chance to put them on. I had a chance to crack into it the other night and here they are. I also replaced the front headlight that got aced on the CDT and threw the bent Galfer discs into the pile of used bits and put the stock discs back on (much better)
At first when I heard they were black springs I thought I'd prefer the Ohlins Yellow but now they're on the bike I reckon the black looks pretty sweet. Just need to take it for a ride now to see what they're like compared to the Gazi's. First impression after a bounce up and down in the garage is that they're a heap softer (the Gazi's were pretty rock hard).
The Gazi's are now on their way to the fourth but I'll let the Gosinator talk about what he's up to there.
Again, huge thanks to Phil for getting me into contact with Steve and Gos for finding a worthy home for the Gazi's (it's always good when a plan comes off)
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.
