Hello Possum, bouncing it of the rev limiter and dumping the clutch is not good for the motor or clutch.
I think you ran it in to hard..... :P

Sorry Poss, I'm just kidding. That's a real let down I know.
Had the same thing happen to me with my OLD FORD BA MKII.
150ks out of the shop and blew a motor then gear box later. True storey.

Mind you I was bouncing it of the rev limiter and dumping the clutch. :P

Sorry

Im not that rough... honest... well not while not for the first few thousand kms... ;)

The shop confirmed new clutch aparently a production fault - They've had a few with the same trouble, bbut not this early...... small sprocket was loose and caused the chain to whack up underneith the bike when you accelerated...they are also going to run it on synthetic oil and then see if there's anything wrong with the engine.... they hope to hav her back to me on tuesday ....hopefully... sigh

That sux man, one of the reasons you buy new is to avoid these problems. The upside i suppose is being under warranty. I hope it's all sorted for ya, and you have no further problems.

cheers
