Service parts for ZX2R

Postby blkzx2r » Thu Jan 17, 2008 3:21 pm

Hey there guys, about to do my service on my 250. I have no idea what oil and stuff I need. Just hoping someone here can give me an idea on which parts to get for my 95 Zx2r.
Oil, oil filter, spark plugs? Brand/Part no. Anything else I might need would be great.
Thanks :)

gday mate i have a zx2r 1992 model great bike eh
spark plugs NGK CR9E or ND U27ESR-N
engine oil SE,SF or SG class
SAE10W40,10W50,20W40, OR 20W50 i use either 10w40,20w40 depending on how old your engine is wether u use thicker or thinner oil but much for muchness really, being such a high revving bike i like the thinner stuff :)
2.1litres when filter is not changed
2.55litres when filter is removed
2.6litres when engine is completly dry and filter changed with a new one
n i just get my oil filter and air filter from kawasaki the air filter is expensive (50-60$$) so if its not torn n looks ok try giving it a good clean n re-oil as for the oil filter Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket have them and thier also cheaper then kawasaki genuine parts if u want the genuine part numbers just give me a holler hope i helped peace
oh n also while you've got the tools out check your chain tension, brake pads, radiator fluid, function of lights :)
anyone can go fast in a straight line,,,,
