New guy here

Postby AndyGPZ » Sun Aug 30, 2020 1:53 pm

Hi All,

New to these parts of the internet.

Had a GPZ900R from 1992 through to March this year when in a fit of stupidity I sold it intending to go straight into a GTR1000. Anyway stars did not align and as the truck lift was picking it up to take it back to its old new owner (I sold it back to the guy I bought it off in 1992!) I regretted it all over.

Just got my hands on a dirty old GPZ750, been playing with the carbs, very dirty and very ordinary but nonetheless got them sort of ok and it runs, kind of. Now when starting the bike it seems that a valve is gone in the motor making that pft noise, when running. Can't find my compression tester (having moved a few times over the past few years (5 times)) so have just put it back under the cover until I can locate that in the myriad of unpacked boxes.

Sooooo, long story short looking for friends with air-cooled GPz750s. !

Cheers,

Andy.

Well no valve gone, was a leaky vaccum cap!!

Hopefully some friends happen along. This format is way better than facepest groupings.

Now looking for two inner header pipes or reasonable full headers.
