Valentino Rossi barred from riding new Yamaha

Yamaha will ban Valentino Rossi from riding its 2011 prototype machine in Brno later this month.

Rossi’s multi-million pound switch to Ducati will be confirmed immediately after the Czech Republic Grand Prix on August 15.

And as a result, the Italian will be barred from testing an early development YZR-M1 for next year on the Monday after the Brno clash.
That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

I wonder if they'll ban him from testing the Duc until 2011 (like Honda did to him)?

apparently part of the deal was they'd let him test the ducati at valencia on the monday if he didnt announce the switch until after laguna seca... i think they wanted to cash in on the merchandise before everyone realises it will be out of date in 4 months

Just heard on Ten news Rossi signed for 20 mill to ride for Ducati.
Lets see what he can do with it next year.

I'm kinda more interested to see what happens to Dovi...

Crutchlow rumoured for the Tech 3 Yami with Spies going up, Melandri to BMW SBK...

Without knowing if Simoncelli has a 2yr contract with Gresini, I reckon Dovi & De Puniet could end up team mates there...

For two or three laps...before he crashes!!!

They say it's far easier to get a fast guy to stop crashing, than it is to get a slow guy to go fast! But, they have been trying to stop Randy from throwing them at the fence forever and a day!! I still think regardless of what Randy rides, he will chuck it at the fence regularly!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

he has hardly chucked it down the road this season, except for when he crashed and broke his leg in 500 places...
