So if you are a CRT rider and you use an engine say 3 times and another team claims it you get another? :?

Just had another read...so is this right...

CRT's are the second string teams and can claim an engine from another CRT... :?

These are allowed 9 engines per year ?

So you have an 'allied' team and build super engines for the first team and then the 'allied' team claims it and you get another...

What would the peak life of a MC engine be?
I presume this rule is meant to stop the building of super engines to make competition more even. Engines do last a while now but when I was karting the rich would rebuild an engine for each meeting. The poor (like me) had an engine built 'tight' so that it lasted longer...say one meeting tight, one about right and then another as it wears more.

Too late to understand all this... :D
