Paddock Stands

Postby Blackzxr » Mon Nov 01, 2004 2:57 pm

It's prob been asked before, can't remember.
I just want a stand for the rear.
What's a good price and brand?
The best i can find, is about $130 local.
Was someone talking about making them up?

Ive got a pretty swanky race stand, was expensive though, $200 bucks.
Its all nice and chrome, thick, fully width adjustable so is universal and has both forked pickups and flat ones with rubber incase you dont have the little bits screwed into your swingarm.
Look for just general build quality and if youre happy with the $130 one just grab it.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions" screw it then i'll just be bad.

I have a Sharp Racing Stand, got it from gobike.com.au for $160ish including my 10% member discount. It's a damn good stand and matches the blue on my bike well. I recommend them. This was the cheapest I could find so meh. It comes with both the spool pickeruperers and the flat things with the rubber on em to pick up under your swingarm.

from a building site (no im kidding there)...or i borrow one..or i do the

woo hoo a pic of quarkz nude!!.hehe...i should visit the site more often :)
not so sure of the pic of smitty naked tho!!
nah seriously...that blue zx6r looks pretty bloody tuf really doesnt it...its funny, cos last nite i was thinking about how now i got a promo, and im locked into a job, i can maybe upgrade the cbr, havent had a loan in abt 5 years tho...dont like the idea of borrowing money at all....then, it hit me.."i had a dream" (in my martin luther king voice)..a dream of a world where i was a king among men, i pulled all sorts of chicks (typical male dream really?), i rode tall , i wheelied long at my own will, and rode at others peril..and i was aboard a ...shock horror...it was a bloody kwaka of all things...it bore the name badge zxrr..it was as small as a 600, looked smoother, but put out 220RWHP..AND it was midnight blue...it actually bare a close resemblance to perfection......i then woke up all gooey & sticky, anf found a copy of AMCN (with that cool add) and finished the job myself...the zx10r is starting to grow on me, more so than the cbr...it pains me to say it...but now im a real man, with a real job, in a real world...maybe its time to get a real bike?
geez i musta been bored to type this drivel....

Got mine at Noyes Honda in Brendale for about $125 I think, that included the slides with the rubber on them if you don't have pickup lugs.
