Well, thanks for the advice fellas, after considering all the input diesel went out the window, just doesn't suit our usage profile, went for a Hilux rear wheel drive 4 litre petrol (just in time for the fuel excise hike) dual cab, should do everything we need comfy, lowish k's and in reasonable nick.

... well i just upgraded my towing machine.


yup current model GEN-F 340kw HSV Tourer wagon... with manual trans
if that can't haul arse, nothing will :)

had to move the racecar (on the trailer tonight) and so for the first time, the Gen-F Tourer got used as a tow car.

Well i thought a 270kw SSV wagon was a great towcar but nothing beats a 340kw one .. along with dinner plate sized brake rotors
squeezed by 6 piston AP racing brakes meant 'what race car and trailer' on the back. This thing just did not notice them... :kuda:
