So the front brakes on my recently acquired 2005 ZX12R are well know for being crap, turns out they are the same crap calipers that were on my 2007 ZX10R. I got a set of second hand CBR1000RR 2011 Tokico monoblock calipers for $170 delivered which i was pretty sure would fit. They did fit ...

2011 CBR1000RR Monoblock calipers in bronze turned up.... $170 for the pair delivered... they are gunna fit, will need 5mm spacers to work. Stay tuned.

Hey guys, finally got a ZX12R. 2005 . 52,000km.
Had it a week, battery died... new battery. last guy did 1000km in a year i think. Rear brakes felt terrible, fitted a Venhill braided line and SBS pads today, old brake fluid was pretty bad. Front brakes are okish, already have racing setup braided ...

i sold all previous ZXR250'S..... never got them running..
picked this up 6 months ago... want to keep it...

i used to use EBC brake pads, and i switched to SBS brake pads, which i am very happy with the performance and price.
They can be ordered through Kenma in Sydney.
To have a look at the wide range of pads available for your bike check the SBS Brakes site first and write down the product numbers ...

cant hurt and cheap as, to run some decent injector cleaner through the bike, but i had exactly the same prob on a recent GSXR600 i fixed up, put a $120 fuel pump kit through it, went hard after that, i still reakon the injector cleaner helped.

Replaced hoses on ZX10R today with a set of Samco hoses and new clamps. Put "Engine Ice" coolant in it. Did engine oil and oil filter and cleaned DNA air filter a few weeks ago.
