Actually the insurance for my R1 was only a couple of hundred more than my ZRX1200 and ZX12r. Maybe because I'm 'nearly' as old as Phil and haven't crashed since the late 90's. Touch wood.

As an ex GPX, KLX, ZX12, ZRX owner, all I can say is....... I wish the 09 R1 was a Kawasaki. Go the BIG BANG.

I hope pepole dont spend too much time looking at the "how much is the throttle open meter" on the dash of the R1 - they may be surprised how shit they are and then realise they cant stop for the next corner and park it in the weeds ;)

I think the performance between the 4 bikes is that similar, that unless you use four very evenly matched superbike racers the results will show more of the riders ability than the bikes standings.

Four riders, four session, one on each bike, aggregate times would give better results - which bike ...
