DBT at Yagoona do some selective repairs but they pick and choose based on the brand of the suit.

A few folks I know recommend DBT. They specialise in 1 piece race suits and ARE picky about what they repair. By all accounts pretty good though

It's only my pants that need repair and I'm going to ...

Looking for Leather repairer in Sydney

I can see a lot of recommendations for Mars Leathers in Melbourne. Does anyone know of or can recommend a good leather repair shop in the Sydney area?

Should see me move onto the compression and rebound set up next!

Bring on my next track day!!
All of this pretty much requires you and at least 1 mate.

...and remember to wear your regular gear.

Have fun.

For the adjusters, take a look in the service manual

For how to adjust it for you, take a look here

Wattie,

Get yourself to ebay.

There are 636 shocks regularly for sale in the US. They go for ~US$50-US$100 + shipping (~US$60). It's a cheap and decent upgrade at that price. (An Ohlins or Hyperpro is gonna cost you A$1800).

I'd look for '05, ''06 zx636 shocks. '03 and '04 models are likely to ...

Tyres? Oh yes...

Diablos (not corsas) front and rear.

I'm on my second set rear and still love them. Sticky in the dry and predictable in the wet, what more could you want.

...not cheap of course...

Still have the stock pipes myself.

Love the heat treated "gold" look. Muzzy's sopund great but little or no difference on the "seat of the pants" performance. There's a a dealer near you that does a great aftermarket system ....: http://www.pipemasters.net/z1000-mo...e-exhausts.html

Sooo much Candy!!

Okay...636 shock is good.

I can honestly say that EBC HH pads on the front brakes are a serious upgrade. Don't listen to those who say it will knock 10Kkms off your rotor wear because....you won't be riding your current Z1K at 80,000kms!!!

Braided hoses do help when you're on the track (I do this ...

Hyperpro if you have the cash!

If you want a serious track shock in Europe then go for a Dutch built Hyperpro shock.

Purple spring coil and serious race damping/adjustment make these a #1 shock. If you don't think this is up to the job then go for an Ohlins and be prepared to part with your wallet...(little advantage over a ...

I have an '05 636 shock on my Z1K (I have settings for that) A collegue just bought an '03 636 shock for his and we're trying to track down the settings from a Zx6r owener who may (as you point out) have the manual.

Thanks for your response.
