re: MotoGP tyre thingies
i always thought that the tyre companies made the teams "cover up". Just in case their tyres didn't do as well as the other brands. They're always the first to throw hats advertising their brands on drivers/riders heads. i'm pretty sure they don't want anyone to know how good or bad their tyres went.

re: Marked out P's test practising areas?
Where do you live? If you are in western sydney..
I practised at Werrington TAFE and also at the Regatta centre at Penrith. The TAFE car park no longer do the test but still had the "old" markings on the ground (smaller distances and tighter turns) and i did most of my practise there (7 months ago ...

re: Zxr250 questions
Thanks again for the advice everyone.
I only have 6 months left on the P's so i was looking to get a cheap sportsbike. I have only ever ridden trail bikes, so i'm not sure how they handle. Was hoping to get confident on a sportsbike (zx2r preferred) before upgrading to something bigger.

Zxr250 questions
I'm looking at a 1996 (complience) Zxr250 with around 60000kms on the clock and a few scratches on the fairing.
Can anyone tell me what sort of price it would be worth? I dont want to spend a great deal of money but love these bikes.
Also is there anything i should be wary of on a bike with that ...

re: A friendly nod
Not much different here in NSW. The cost of some 250's is a disgrace. I've seen some late model 600's for the same price as a 250 of similar age.
My traily wasn't cheap but to me it has been worth it. It's in great nick and doesn't have the power to hurt me after a minor mistake. You get over the ...

re: A friendly nod
It cost me $180 to put a pair of dunlop road tyres on it, $12 to change the front sprocket and an hours labour. It sticks like glue and cruises happily at 90k's. Perfect for the learner, that's why i got it.

Re: re: A friendly nod
Trail bike riders always seem to preoccupied with waving flies away, a by-product of not washing, to acknowledge your existence...
Steady on felix... if my bike went fast enough i'd outrun the flies!!
We're not all like that, some of us ride traily's because they're cheap. 2.8L/100km keeps my ...

re: A friendly nod
Sounds like trail bike riders are quite a rude bunch.
If you happen to be riding in the outer west of sydney and you see a little blue yamaha traily wishing it was a kwaka sports bike don't be shy, give him a nod... He's not like the others, he just wants to be a real bike!

re: 05 ZX6RR ( No underseat pipe )
I'm a fan of the underseat exhauxst, seems to me to be a neater package. Is it hard finding an aftermarket can for an underseat exhaust?

A friendly nod
Being fairly new to riding i'm a little confused. From reading posts and talking to other riders it would seem that the norm is to give another motorcyclist a friendly nod hello as you pass them. Over the past few weeks when i have been out riding i have passed a lot of riders and only a few of them ...
