D and C model engines are pretty much the same and will fit either bike. Just make sure you use the correct front sprocket for the engine-they differ there. If doing an engine swap I'd look for a ZZR1200 one. They go in, but have to lower the engine to do valve clearances. Did anyone direct you to ...

just got it back from the bike shop... and they had to re-sync. the carbs... goes alot better.. still a little backfire though!

It has had an after market exhaust put on.. (single pipe).. I am unsure if it has been re-jetted.

ZZR1100 with a few problems

Have just purchased a 1993 ZZR 1100 D1 that has come with a few problems...

1. Bike runs rich and has a backfire problem... Is there an easy soution to this problem?
