Re: z1000 ABS/Ninja 2012

The tine has come for Jeff to replace his '03 customised Zeddy Thou. & he has his heart set on a Ninja 1000. He has been finding it damn hard to get a demo ride though! He was unsure about getting one without doing a demo ride. Given all the positive reviews he's thinking that he will just get one ...

Re: Queenslanders, are you ok? palese say Hi.

We are fine, high and dry. If our part of Mt Gravatt went under, the majority of Bne would be under! I spoke with Nanna today, as Phil said he is fine. Nanna's street was listed as likely to flood on the BCC's flood projection, so I was glad to hear that his home is dry! I was quite concerned about ...

Re: Autism

In regards to the earlier part of this thread, I did a little research into vaccines vs autism. Medical researchers have come to the conclusion that there is not a link between the two. Seiko, I feel for you. A close friend has a son (now 16) with Aspergers. Whilst my friend researched extensively ...

Re: Suspension for Z1000

So I finally got the $$$ together to do the rear suspension of the Z1000. I had installed a Wilbers hose mounted spring and shock (due to the limited space under the bike). What a difference! I took it out over Mt Nebo and Mt Mee the day after I got the bike back, and had a grin on my face the ...

Re: my musical Zed

I noticed the same sound on my Z1000 also. I was assured by my mechanic, and everyone on KSRC, that it is normal :)

Re: Tyres for '09 Z1000

Well I ended up getting Conti Road Attacks put on on Thursday. I am certainly not a tyre connessieur, so I am willing to try different brands to see what works for me. The Road Attacks are already much better than the standard Dunlops the Z1000 came with, they tip in much easier! I have only been ...

Thanks for your input everyone. I am leaning towards giving the Conti Road Attacks a go. Duane, Jeff runs the Roadsmarts on his bike as he commutes daily, and he also things highly of them.

Tyres for '09 Z1000

So, what tyres are you guys running on your Z? This is my first change of tyres on the '09 Z1000, the stock Dunlop is down to the wear markers after 5,500kms. I can't say I have been too impressed with the tyre.
On my '04 Z750, after the stock Bridgies, which inspired absolutely no confidence, I ...

Re: Z1000 and higher Kms

I sold my '04 Z750 with 36,000kmns on it (i put on from new), he was still going strong. My husband's '03 Z1000 has now about 34,000kms on it, also still going strong with no issues, other than general maintenance.
