Re: Come from the shadows - the Shadowfax restoration.

Mmm, funny you should mention this. I think the Gosinator and me are hatching a plot whereby I might be able to have my cake and eat it too. Watch this space.

Re: Come from the shadows - the Shadowfax restoration.

Well, it is odd that Brett should have asked even because I have told him the story already, in person and how it all happened, so I think maybe he is getting it confused and thinking that it is some other bike. As for the "i" I have never made any secret of the fact that it was a community project.

Brett is a speedway buddy, Goz. Actually, you will probably know his dad, he's Brian Norman's son.

Courtesy of my good friend, Chris Mundy, here are some photos of the bike at the museum. I think it looks great.

Re: Come from the shadows - the Shadowfax restoration.

Actually, I am ashamed to say so, but I wasn't home when it left, I was commentating a meeting in Canberra. The big empty space in the garage when I got home was a bit hard to take, though.

The bike left last Sunday for Nabiac. I am assuming it may now be seen there. Going to go up there soon and admire it in its new home.

Re: Come from the shadows - the Shadowfax restoration.

If we don't all burn out, we MAY end up in a museum (although under what category they would display us is entirely another matter) :)

Re: Come from the shadows - the Shadowfax restoration.

The story is nearly complete and, as Gos has detailed, the money is just not available to refurbish the motor to a condition that would make it suitable to run. Since my accident in 2010 I haven't been able to work any more than a few days of casual relief work at school and that doesn't look likely ...

Re: Tell us about the Syndicate superbike Gos

As a matter of interest, Andrew Johnson passed away late last week. His funeral will take place at the Boyd Chapel in Springvale Botanical Cemetery, just opposite Sandown Park racecourse on Friday morning. A huge turn-out of motorcyclists is expected to attend. RIP Ajay, the Gary Nixon of Australian ...

Re: Come from the shadows - the Shadowfax restoration.

Hey Fezzick,

Just saw an article on the Shadowfax and your profile in Used Bike and Classic Enthusiast, great article and the bike looks a million dollars! Its also pretty cool to put a face to the name, fully appreciate the team effort behind the build and even work out the identity of Gosling ...
