ZX12 R habdlebar kit
Hi there. Ive just bought a 2006 zx12r and want to set up a more comfortable riding position (sorry to any purists out there). A bit of googling and it seems the LSL kit made in germany is the 'go to' option but pretty pricey. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this? Another option? Buy it ...

Re: To start or not to start?
Well back to the bikes.. geez work is an annoying distraction in my life!
So I have tinkered around with a few different things working out how bikes actually work and been doing a bit of reading and have decided to work on the electrical circuits first. As far as I can see i cant do much without a ...

Anybody got a different copy of the ZX750 manual(s) to download? I downloaded a version at http://kz.mbsween.com/manual.html (thanks dub) but the bottom of many of the pages are cut off

Re: To start or not to start?
Cheers wayne. Overall plan..well that's a good question. Originally wanted to try and do a full rebuild just for the challenge but now i've seen these pistons move I want to get the little suckers thumping :D . Also if one (or both of them) happen to run ok, I guess there's less chance of stuffing ...

To start or not to start?
Well carrying on from my 'getting started' post I've discovered both the 82 and 83 will turn over by hand. Followed waynes advice and put some oil in the cylinders and that got them moving ,although turning the back wheel didn't seem to do it.. (wasn't sure if i was actually getting them into top ...

Getting started
About to start stripping down an 82 and 83 GPz with the expectation that the engines will possibly need to be stripped down and worked on also to get going. A friend told me to do a basic check that might indicate the engines could be ok. He said put them up on the centre stand, make sure there is ...

Re: No Idea
ah i see..thanks dub. that's a completely different set up altogether isn't it. I didn't even realise there was a single shock system! That's good to know they are completely differeent... I ordered a Clymer manual (today) so combined with this download (some pics are a bit dark) I should have ...

Re: No Idea
Think I'll pull the 83 apart first and see how we go. Any general tips/tricks on stripping down an old bike like this?

Re: No Idea
Cheers Rob. I live in Cobar, a mining town in central NSW. There's plenty of time to think about things out here so I'l definitely put some thought into it! Plan to do it as a long term project, learn a few things as I go, don't mind if it takes me a year or more. Definitely will look for help as I ...

No Idea
Hi there. I've just bought 2 GPZ 750's (1982 and 1983) both not working and in need of plenty of repair. I hope to rebuild at least one of them but have no idea what I'm about to do and have almost no mechanical ability!
I have a couple of questions..
1. How do I decide which one to rebuild? I ...
