I only ever wear a back protector when I get on a bike
! Road or dirt! It don't matter!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

I wear my back protector when long distance touring (getting old and it a great back support over distance) and when I'm anticipating hard riding or on the track. Otherwise I usually forget to put it on.

I wear the back protector pretty well all the time. If I'm just around town I don't but that's very rare anyway.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

My jackets all have built in back armour/padding - and I've been happy to rely on that for the most part.
If I'm going on the track or for a serious spirited strop in the twisties though, I'll wear my back protector.
You doing a rider survey for someone/thing SenNey?
There was a spirited thread on netrider about back protectors a while back - about what they do for you. I guess it depends on how much you paid for your protector, since mine certainly wont stop hyper extension or any thing like that... it's basically an add on hard shell for once only impact protection. Since I have to remove the CE padding in my main jacket to make it fit... I've wondered whether I'm actually better or worse off with the protector... ??
