ZX9R C Spanners
After a lot of enquiring to make the Tiggr more USER Friendly to my little shoulders n Kidney Area for the PI trip. I've have come to the conclusion that the Bestest option for adjusting Rear Spring Loading on the 02 zx9r is to make an Aluminium RIFT, to bash the lock rings around with.
I bought an aftermarket C spanner which is ok for some adjustment sometimes but not fool proof so wasted $30 there. No way I'm paying @$390 for a pair of offset C Spanners.(Im assuming thats why there's nothing in the $5 toolkit that comes with the bike).
Just wondering what the other 9 riders do, an can anybody make me an Aluminium Rift that will do the job ?. I'll pay for your time & materials.
Cheers Brett

I just turn the knob on the hydraulic preload adjuster...
The advantages of an ohlins.... I'm sure Phil will now agree...
Previously a hammer and screwdriver did the trick...

This works a treat, but a better method is to use a piece of 1/2" or smaller copper tube. Hammer the end flat and use that the same way as a screwdriver. That way it won't mark the nuts.MadKaw wrote:...Previously a hammer and screwdriver did the trick...

Copper is nice and soft.
It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.

Not for the 02 9 mina they have to be offset as the swing arm is braced from above. The Copper Pipe RIFT sounds like a plan Thanks Matty. Bloody C spanner i bought is multi fit and doesnt even do the old FZR6, Spewin.mrmina wrote:they cost $16 original kwaka part

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.

if you feel like finding out if there's an aftermarket part to suit, you could always give the guys at "Proven suspension" ( http://www.proven.com.au ) an enquiry, very usefull mob, even if they are able to/can't help
