03 cbr954 vs 02 zx12r
my main riding has changed recently from a weekend thrash on the twisties to up and down the freeway for work and pillioning on the weekend.
my current ride an 03 cbr954 is so so fun with the handling and accelaration but a pain on the freeway and really uncomfortable for the pillion.
so heres my question.
pros and cons of both bikes
and should i just stick with the blade?
or get something bigger a little more blunt but more comfy?

I have not ridden a 12 in anger. However I have followed the odd (I mean it in the nicest possible way Gos
) person around on one! I reckon most people wouldn't really be any slower in the twisties on the 12 than on the blade. I can keep up with most blades ridden up a twisty road on my 9, and when riding with this odd person on a 12 up a twisty road, I couldn't pass him!!!! So I really don't think buying a 12 would slow you down too much on a solo weekend fang, and would have the added advantage of being able to cummute and pillion with more comfort. Plus they go like stink!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Ride the "magic school bus" I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Just add braided lines for the weekend punt through the twisties.

PFFT... I saw a 12 last weekend fully cranked overtaking Wattie on a downhill tight sweeper left hander through the twisties & to overtake Wattie requires effort.....lots of effort.
They are not slow through the tight stuff, depends how good a rider you are. Also, you have all the creature comforts, Radio, CB, fridge & plenty of room in those panniers

Classic Mick but i am still with Strika on the making sense thing.
Mina you are full of shit unless you back this up with FACT. Not some dream you had while pulling yourself.
The ony thing you pass is out your ass and they are donuts.
If you passed a 12 it was stopped at a servo (and I havent even seen you ride). Or maybe you pulled two plug leads off it at the last stop
ANd yep I am full of bourbon...

Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD
