anyone recommend a place in the snowies to stay for a night
thinkin of driving to the GP via snow. take the kids there for a day... i have been once (13 yrs ago) so i dont know jack about where to stay.
theres a few places on wotif.com.au, but i dont know the area well
i want to stay somewhere so i dont have to go far to get to snow, as my kids are 2 1/2 & 3 1/2, so we arent doing black diamond runs or anything, its more to give them a chance just to play in the snow..
any ideas would be great.

Given the time of year snow is only going to become ore scarce hence i'd suggest either Hotham, Falls creek or Buffalo would be your best bet. No snow bunny myself, but when we go riding around that area we usually stay at the Porepunkah hotel, that's outside of Bright and not THAT close to the snow, Bright might be a better option if you don't want to stay a the above mentioned spots. Bright is sort of close to all of them.

Google it before you head off mate would be your best bet. NFI what the snow season website is. Sure they'll be snow but given that the snow season has ended might mean Bright would be your closest bet for accom, will make it shitloads cheaper too

It depends what you are looking for.
You could stay at Jindebyne but it is not in the snow. It is however the closest decent size town before the snow in NSW and will be far cheaper than staying in the snow. You can reach the snow fields in Thredbo or Perisher in less than half an hour and you can catch the ski tube to the fields if you like.
I don't know about this late in the season but Smiggins is a family orientated field and there are definately no black double diamonds there.
Accommodation in Jindy try The Station. It is a large well priced resort. You could also try one of the many rental houses or decent resorts on the lake.
If not try Thredbo for accommodation in the snow.
I hope this helps.

So what's with the Spanish/Mexican thing when Nepal is an Asian country?? Slight detour from PI btw but doable with some application
