Years ago when I was in the Army one of the guys took his much-maligned car (a very old Toyota Corona) out on the Puckapunyal range and then let the Tankies blow the absolute crapper out of it.
Didn't get any money from it, but he gained yards of immense satisfaction

I have the same problem with my very tired old EA-EB ford s/w, so I sympathise.
I will be ringing an old car remover to pick it up in a couple of weeks when the rego runs out, some of them give half decent $$.
Even an idiot on Ebay who would pay $5 for an air guitar would not spend 50c on this car. Members of the Windsor crew would no doubt agree.
When I did have the money for another car (before I bought Felix instead) the best trade in I was offered by any caryard was $200, so if I get that from the wrecker, I'll be happy.
Having said that, if you have the room to store it and sell the bits off it, guaranteed you will make more from it than from a wrecker.

You could always find a nice open place, grab a Sledge Hammer or two, make a sign and hire them out at around $5 - $10 a hit.
Learn well all the rules, so as to know how to break them in the proper manner.

Unshredded scrap is currently getting about $200/tonne so you should get at least that.......
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.
