I now believe in the zx7r curse!(joined 04 crash team today)

Post by greenmeanie »

This afternoon was heading out to brett's(pontikat) place to drop off a supply of stickers when i binned my bike :( . I was coming up to the big roundabout at the end of the Western Freeway where it joins the Ipswich Motorway and braked a little harder than normal only doing 60/70 km and without warning front slid out from underneath me. I believe i came in contact with a patch of shit :? on the road.

Thanks to the yamaha 1300 rider for pulling up and making sure i was ok. Managed to start it back up and slip down a service road to assess damage. Mostly cosmetic damage to LHS fairing and i broke the end off my gear selector.

When i worked out i could change up gears with my heal i continued on to bretts place and dropped the stickers off. :D

Whilst i have full comp insurance i am not going to make a claim. I wanna keep my rating and keep my premiums low. Save making a claim for a big one(hope that never happens though).

Oh no injuries just a little skin off.

Regards
Glenn(zx7r).

Centenail roudie is the last place i had an off on my scoot, dipping into the left hand sweeper to come under the roundabout n onto ippie motorway 3/4 years or so ago on the fzr6, I hit diesel that day I wouldnt be surprised if you did the same.

Brett as i said in the pm don't worry about it as it could of happened anywhere. Just annoying more than anything. I am not worried about the cosmetic stuff just get a new gear selector and continue riding(incl ksrc rides).

Ahhh, bugger! I don't think I'm gonna ride my bike for the rest of the year. I'm gonna wait for this virus to go away.

FARK! Another one of us goes down. To be honest Glenn, I've ridden on different occasions with you for quite some time, and its never occured to me that you'd come off. Type a guy who never comes off!

Bit of a shitter isn't it? I mean to go blazing over mountains/racetracks, and then come off thanks to a bit of shit on the road under average braking.

Gear levers are shit things. $145 for a new one man. Though ask for a discount and you should get if for $120.
