ZX6R Jumper mod
ZX6R Jumper mod
I read that there was a simple jumper mod to increase the KW output. Mine is an 07 ZX6, is this a valid mod for AUS compliant machines or just applicable to USA machines?

Re: ZX6R Jumper mod
I think this is the one your looking for http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/165/45/.I think all it does is keep the valve in the exhaust open all the time rather than only over 4,000rpm.I think but i could be wrong.If you already have a slip-on I think this mod is useless as the valve is removed.But i may be wrong.....
Stopping=Crashing!
Re: ZX6R Jumper mod
So can I just disconnect the valve electrics? This would do the same job right?

Re: ZX6R Jumper mod
From memory it was only for US bikes, some kind of derestriction above 13K rpm, not sure it would relevant to 07+ 6r's though.

Re: ZX6R Jumper mod
I just checked the thread and it's the same mod as for the 05-06 636. Here in Oz you don't need it, basically the mod is to get around the emissions restrictions placed on them by the CO2 Nazi's in the USA and parts of Europe.
AU deliver bike don't have this jumper set

One less thing to do then! So...are there any performance improving mods for the 07 ZX6R? Sorry but I'm new to the kwakas!

Re: ZX6R Jumper mod
Sure, a PC3, full Arta titanium system and Carbon Fibre wheels.....that should see you through about $4-6K pretty quickly
